Who do you sell to?
The answer may seem obvious, but often it’s a very narrow vision that comes to mind. It make sense for the product or service pages of your website to be very narrow focused, you have to keep in mind that the reader is actually a person that relates to what you do in a broader sense than the specific, narrow focus of your product or service page.
This is why blogging is so important..er, well, one of the 1000 reason’s it’s so important.
Do you use a blog? It’s not uncommon to struggle to think about what to blog about, not to mention the time it takes to write a blog.
But let me tell you, it’s worth it. Blog about things that appeal to your audience. Help them get more joy out of life, avoid troubles and frustrations, fix problems and relate that to your product or service. Don’t use your blog to sell, use it to add value to your readers.
Two things happen when you use a blog to provide value. First, you increase your page dwell time. People will stick around and read interesting content and that signals Google that you have good content that people want and they will reward you with better rankings. And second, your readers can relate to you. They will recognize that you want to help them and educate them, not just sell to them.
And then when it’s time to buy what you offer, you’ll be the obvious choice.
